About Us
Pink Money Events; Rainbow Community Development is an independent, volunteer non-profit corporation in Manitoba with the sole purpose of holding events from which the proceeds are given to sexual minority organizations in this province. We are happy to provide a copy of our Constitution bylaw on request.
Our members are all volunteers with a number of years of experience in holding fundraising events in the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities here. You are welcome to join: there is no membership fee, but members must participate in planning and conducting our events, as well as having the usual responsibilities of attending Annual and Special Meetings, electing Directors, and the like.
The proceeds of all of our events are donated to organizations that provide services to the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and two-spirited communities in Manitoba. After each event is completed, the costs of the event are deducted from its proceeds. A deduction is also made to cover a proportionate amount of our other expenses, such as credit-union and internet fees. The balance is given to the organizations that have been identified as the beneficiaries of that event. A list of these donations is available on request.
All personal information collected (such as on our mailing list, and in processing credit card sales of tickets) is held in strictest confidence and is given, lent or sold to no one. Please advise if you would like to be added to our mailing list. We will remove you from our list whenever you ask.
We intend to focus on more novel and innovative events, and to avoid duplicating the activities of others. We would very much appreciate receiving your suggestions and proposals.
